If you have already watched the series and witnessed the fights, you know that they were one of the biggest challenges for the participants. Dre opened up to BOSSIP around the moment Latto put a battery in his back after his fight with K’Alley.

“I don’t know if it was on camera or off camera, but basically she was like, ‘Don’t screw it up,'” DreTL told BOSSIP. “It felt like she was saying, ‘I like you, you’re one of my favorites.’ Well, I mean, she said that. Me and K’Alley, we competed against each other and I don’t want to speak for her, but I think we were her two favorite artists to be on the show. After K’Alley was eliminated, she said, “You eliminated K’Alley, who I really liked, so don’t let it be in vain. After that, I was like, ‘Okay, I’ll go for it.'”

Inglewood rapper Tia P praised Grammy Award-winning songwriter Theron Thomas for his coaching Rhythm + Flow

Inglewood rapper Tia P spoke about the coaching she and the other contestants received from Grammy Award winner Theron Thomas.

“I have to say my best advice came from T-Ron,” recalls Tia P. “Theron was dropping gems basically from day one. I know for sure that there were only a few hours during the battle to hurry up and wait

“He talked to us about the game in general,” Detroit Diamond added.

“Overall as an artist, beyond this show, he’s definitely dropped gems,” Tia P continued. “And then in the moments that we did, he was there just giving us encouragement, advice and just real things. Because some people just want to say, ‘That’s great!’ But he lost real knowledge, and that’s what we can take with us in competition and throughout our careers.”

Detroit Diamond put her best foot forward throughout the competition and, like DreTL, received great recognition from the judges, so we weren’t too surprised when she decided to highlight a special moment with DJ Khaled.

“I feel like Khaled, he had a moment when we were doing the singles when Glorilla was our guest judge, I felt like I knew I was tough but when he lit the lighter and came on stage and thought : ‘I have to take a picture with you…'” Diamond recalled. “I thought, ‘That’s DJ Khaled right now and he likes to stomp on me!’ That moment was really, really big for me.”

Detroit Diamond also cited a lesser-known figure on set as a motivating factor – one of the show’s sound producers.

“Destiny, she was one of my sound producers, so she helped me behind the scenes with the music,” Detroit Diamond recalls. “I didn’t really know her from a paint can since the day of the audition, did I? But when I tell you, I feel like I’m welcoming you, and before I went out I was a little nervous and she was like, ‘Relax, mom.’ She was like, ‘Get it, you got this!’ As soon as she said that, I was like, ‘I’m home now.’ So Destiny calls.”

Eminem called Rhythm + Flow Rapper Yoshi Vintage “The Complete Package”

Likewise, Yoshi Vintage received high praise from some of the hardest-to-impress celebrities on set.

“I have to go with Eminem – he said I was the complete package!” Yoshi Vintage told BOSSIP. “You know, what else can I do?”

The hearing-impaired actor revealed that he also received some important advice from another celebrity with a similar disability.

“I think the best advice I got was from Remy (Ma) because she also has a hearing impairment,” Yoshi Vintage continued. “She said speak out. Because we have a hearing problem, I’ve never heard words properly, so I can’t say a lot of words correctly, so she just said, ‘Yoshi, you’re saying some shit.'”
