One of the three takeaways was the Raiders’ first fumble recovery of the year, with Tre’von Moehrig in the right place to capitalize on Amari Burney’s ball ejection. The Silver and Black players scored their first and only touchdown of the game after the fumble.

“It was a great play by him, I was just able to capitalize on his big play,” Moehrig said of recovering Burney’s forced fumble. “We can get the ball, we’re all ballhawks and they come in droves.”

Moehrig had a full day keeping the Raiders’ defense on its toes with eight total tackles, three passes defended and half a sack in addition to fumble recoveries. The safety becomes just the second player in the NFL this season (Carlton Davis) to record more than three passes defended and a defensive fumble recovery in the same game.

The other two turnovers were interceptions by defensive lineman K’Lavon Chaisson near the line of scrimmage and Jack Jones while the Buccaneers were in the red zone. Chaisson’s interception came after he racked up 1.5 sacks in Week 14, while it was Jones’ second interception of the season and tied Moehrig for the team lead this season.

“Just chasing the ball, everyone doing their job,” Jones said. “If everyone does their job, we can force turnovers. We have playmakers on defense, so I think that’s what matters – doing our job.”
