EAST RUTHERFORD – A painful means to a necessary end.

That’s what awaits the New York Giants given the current circumstances heading into Sunday’s home finale against the Indianapolis Colts and the prospects of a future with the selection of a franchise quarterback in the 2025 NFL Draft.

The outcome of the game is of utmost importance on both fronts.

Right now, the Giants are No. 1 and they hold that spot as the only two-win team in the NFL.

Their 10th straight loss secured the Giants the No. 1 spot in the 2025 NFL Draft last week.

What that means for the regime under coach Brian Daboll and general manager Joe Schoen remains to be seen. Owners John Mara and Steve Tisch only know the answer to that.

However, according to Tankathon.com, the Giants are currently expected to remain the No. 1 seed, now one game ahead of the Las Vegas Raiders, who picked up their third win over the Jacksonville Jaguars last Sunday.
