Tiger Woods and Charlie’s ‘nervous’ 24-year-old rival has different suspicions about the Woods family’s horrific attempt

The ongoing PNC Championship features an impressive roster of players including retired golfers and amateur golfers. Since the start of the tournament, meeting the players, new outfits for the team and many other things have been the subject of discussions. Heading into the tournament, Team Langer was in the spotlight as the defending PNC Championship champions. This is even more true for Jason Langer, who put in an impressive performance despite pursuing a full-time career other than golf.

With Team Woods winless in the PNC Championship, the players’ exceptional performance has become a concern for the Greatest and his son. During the press conference, Tiger Woods was asked by the moderator: “Were you feeling pretty comfortable at the time, or were you still a little awestruck or nervous?” In response, Woods said: “Of course. I’m always nervous out there. That’s the fun part. I’ve always told you that if I’m not nervous, I don’t care. I care about what I do.”

The nervousness behind the tough competition on the track is that the teams are competing against Team Woods. As defending champions, the Langer team is also aiming for its second title in a row this year and is making Woods’ path to victory more difficult. Already during the press conference of the PNC Championship, both Bernhard Langer and Jason Langer were very convinced of their performance and experience on the track.

Jason Langer was asked how things have changed from his debut in 2014 to the 2024 journey and what it was like. To which he replied: “Compared to 2014, it’s the first time I’ve played. I’m just much more relaxed. Just really, really have a good time and have fun.” Furthermore, he announced that “My expectations for my game are definitely lower, at least now, than they were five or six years ago. I don’t play quite as much, and you know, I work and stuff.” The reason for Junior Langer’s limited availability in the course is his career outside of the course, where he works as an investment banking analyst at Centerview Partners.

The polar contrasts between the teams are just a feast for the eyes, with one expressing nervousness about caring about their game while the other shows their relaxed side. It would be a great golf experience for the fans and the players. And it turns out that after three rounds of the PNC Championship, we’re still not sure who will take the title.
