It’s hard to forget the November 2009 Tiger Woods affair scandal that dominated all the headlines. The legendary golfer, who until then had a pristine image, crashed his SUV into a neighborhood fire hydrant after his then-wife Elin Nordegren allegedly chased him outside with a 9-iron. At this point, the stories of his ongoing infidelities became global news.

The photogenic couple seemed to live the perfect life, but their storied romance was anything but dreamy. Woods had been unfaithful to his former nanny, who was not only his wife but also the mother of his two children Sam (17) and Charlie (15). Woods had a long-term affair with Rachel Uchitel, along with at least a dozen other women who have come forward. In August 2010, Woods completed rehab for sex addiction and the former golf golden couple divorced.

Fast forward to 2024 and things look very different now. As her son’s PGA career continues to heat up (see his hole-in-one moment from Sunday, Dec. 22!), fans got a glimpse into the state of Woods and Nordegren’s relationship today — and it’s a lot more pleasant story. Although Woods and Charlie lost the 2024 PNC Championship, the family was in high spirits following the teenager’s career milestone. The golfer and his ex-wife were discovered by them Golf on CBS They embraced in a warm embrace while Sam, who was their caddy, looked on. It is a blended family that has left the past behind.

Nordegren, who is now married to former NFL player Jordan Cameron and has three children with him, son Arthur (5) and daughters Zeta (2) and Freya (born in 2024), strictly guards her privacy. She made a rare exception in 2014 when she was the valedictorian at Rollins College. It took nine years to get her bachelor’s degree in psychology, but she finally had something to say.

She joked about taking a communications and media course: “I was unexpectedly thrust into the media spotlight. I probably should have taken more notes in that class!” Nordegren had a sense of humor about the terrible time she had been through, which was probably a sign that she and Woods had moved on to a better place as co-parents.

Woods, who is currently single, is having a proud father moment after Charlie’s ace this weekend. “It’s one of the highlights we’ve ever had,” Woods said NBC Sports. “We talked about it recently; He made his first eagle. And now he’s just made his first hole-in-one. It was a magical two-hole course. I’m just so happy for him and for the joy we’ve had as a family.”
