Tina Knowles doesn’t throw her hammer at public opinion.

The businesswoman and mother of pop superstar Beyoncé is responding to speculation that she “liked” a social media post about rape allegations against Beyoncé’s husband Jay-Z.

In an amended complaint filed Sunday, the billionaire music mogul was accused of drugging and raping a 13-year-old girl with fellow hip-hop star Sean “Diddy” Combs at an afterparty after the MTV Video Music Awards in September 2000 . The woman, identified anonymously as Jane Doe, filed a lawsuit against Combs in October over the alleged assault.

Shortly after news of the lawsuit broke, reports surfaced that Knowles had allegedly liked an Instagram post from ABC7 Chicago about Jay-Z’s legal troubles. The post’s caption read: “Shawn ‘Jay-Z’ Carter and Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs are accused of raping a then-13-year-old girl at an afterparty after the 2000 Video Music Awards, according to an amended civil complaint filed Sunday.” emerges.” .”

In an Instagram post on Monday, Knowles denied that she had liked ABC News’ post and claimed her account had been “hacked.”

“As you all know, I don’t joke about my family,” Knowles wrote. “So if you see anything out of character about me, just know it’s not me!”

She added: “Please stop playing with me!!!! ‘No weapon used against my family will succeed.’”

USA TODAY has reached out to Knowles’ representatives for comment.

In response to the rape allegations made against Jay-Z, a lawyer for the rapper filed a motion with the court on Monday to reveal the identity of his accuser, a woman living in Alabama.

Jay-Z “deserves to know the identity of the person who is actually accusing him – in a sensationalistic and high-profile manner – of criminal behavior, demanding massive financial compensation and tarnishing a reputation built over decades,” the filing says.
