Every day I look at Wordle Bot to analyze my guessing game. You can check your Wordles with Wordle Bot right here.

Well, that didn’t go so well – certainly not as well as my guessing game yesterday! LOUSE wasn’t completely bad, but it wasn’t great either. BLEAT reduced the 121 remaining words to just 12. Unfortunately, my next guess – REGAL – left me with two remaining solutions: RELAY and RELAX. I made a bad choice.

Competitive Wordle Score

I get -1 point for guessing five and -1 point for losing to the bot that took four tries today. -2 points for your humble narrator!

Today’s Wordle etymology

The word relax comes from Latin Relaxwhich means “to loosen, open, expand, or expand again.” This is derived from Re- (means “again” or “back”) and laxare (means “loose”), which in turn comes from laxus (means “loose” or “limp”). The term entered Old French as Relaser and later Middle English as relaxretaining the meaning of relaxation or loosening.

This leads me to naming a character Laxus Maximus, which reminds me of this Asterix and Obelisk Comics.
