Word analysis

Every day I look at Wordle Bot to analyze my guessing game. You can check your Wordles with Wordle Bot right here.

A few days ago I got lucky with a “B” word – BRAIN as an opening for what ended up being called PLUMB – and that’s what I was thinking about today when I guessed BRIDE. I didn’t expect it to work so well a second time, but I guess B’s are in the air. For my second guess, I selected all new letters. COUNT reduced my 12 remaining solutions to just two, but I (thankfully) didn’t even think about BOWER. BOXER was the only word that came to mind and that was the Wordle!

Competitive Wordle Score

I get 1 point for guessing in 3 and 0 for equating the bot. 1 x 3 for 3XP Friday the 13th = 3 points! Huzzah!

Today’s Wordle etymology

The term “Boxer” (fighter) comes from the verb “boxing”which means “fighting with fists” and was first mentioned in the late 16th century. This is probably related to the idea of painting or enclosing oneself in a figurative “box.”

For the Dog breed“Boxer” was named in Germany in the late 19th century, possibly because of his paw movements that resembled a boxing stance.
