Today’s Wordle etymology

The word “Terrace” comes from Spanish, where it originally referred to a courtyard or an open area within a building. Its etymology comes from the Latin word “pactum”, means “agreement” or “contract,” which later developed in Old Spanish to describe a cleared or open space. Over time, it specifically came to mean a courtyard or garden area, particularly one open to the sky.
