Today’s “Wordle” No. 1,305 with tips and answers for the game on Tuesday, January 14th

During the winter months it can be difficult to find the motivation to do much, but Wordlei is a simple pleasure that we can still enjoy.

The game was created by Josh Wardle, a Brooklyn-based software developer, and was originally a gift for his girlfriend who loved word games. Wardle was originally intended for the couple’s own entertainment during the COVID-19 lockdowns, but soon realized its wider appeal and launched Wordle online in October 2021.

The game’s popularity skyrocketed within a few months The New York Times purchase it for an undisclosed seven-figure sum.

Wordle isn’t just a hit with amateurs; Even celebrities like to play and share their results with other A-listers.

Comedy legends and co-stars from Apple TV+ series Palm Royale, Carol Burnett and Allison Janney compared their scores almost daily, with Burnett describing the game as “fun.”

“Allison and I, we Wordle,” Burnett said Entertainment tonight in April 2023. “We just talk back and forth.”

A new word appears at midnight in the player’s respective time zone Just’ Gaming app or website. But if one game a day isn’t enough for you, subscribers can also access over 1,000 past puzzles from the official Wordle archive.

“We’re excited to unlock the official Wordle archive for our subscribers,” said Jonathan Knight, Head of Games at Justsaid in May 2024. “This expansion isn’t just about solving past mysteries; it’s about deepening our community’s connection to Wordle and each other.”

How to play Wordle

Players are tasked with guessing a mysterious five-letter word – and must do so in a maximum of six attempts. They are helped by a color-coded tile system: green means they entered the letter correctly; Yellow indicates that the letter appears in the word but is in the wrong place. and finally, a gray tile indicates that the letter does not appear in the word at all.
