Tom Brady doesn’t seem to approve of how Daniel Jones handled his final days with the Giants.

Brady criticized Jones on the Fox broadcast during the Giants-Cowboys Thanksgiving matchup.

“I don’t know how the whole situation unfolded, but to think that you’re asking for a layoff from a team that’s very committed to you is perhaps different to the way I would have handled it.” said Brady. “I always felt like I wanted to gain the trust and respect of my teammates regardless of the situation because I knew I was trying to do my best for the team because that was the most important thing.”

The Giants benched Jones last week before the team’s 30-7 loss to the Buccaneers.

They then opted to start third man Tommy DeVito and bypass backup Drew Lock.

And they have also added Tim Boyle to their training squad, again moving Jones from the starting XI all the way to the fourth line.

Jones notably had an injury clause in his contract with the Giants that would have guaranteed him $23 million next year if he was injured and unable to pass an offseason physical exam.

After the Giants decided to bench Jones, it was expected that he would be demoted to the third or fourth line to prevent a possible injury.

During practice last Friday, the Giants temporarily had Jones fill in at safety on the scout team.

A day later, Jones requested his release, which was granted to end his turbulent more than five-year term.

“Different things just happen in the NFL,” Brady said. “Everyone makes individual decisions. I think we all face different challenges at certain points in our careers. I met her in college – some things didn’t go my way, but the people that mattered most to me were the guys in the locker room.

“I showed up every day – I didn’t care if they asked me to be the scout team safety and scout team quarterback, I did what I could to help the team win. “

Jones signed with the Vikings on Wednesday.
