Of note: “The Batman II” was originally announced for release on October 2, 2026. It is postponed to October 1, 2027.

Also on the release calendar: Bong Joon-ho’s “Mickey 17” is postponed from April 18, 2025 to March 7, 2025, while Ryan Coogler’s “Sinners” is postponed from March 7 to April 18, 2025.

In “Mickey 17,” Robert Pattinson plays an “expendable” who is constantly sent to an ice planet on dangerous tasks that often result in his death. But things get messy when one of the consumables survives a mission meant to kill him and he becomes embroiled in the newest version of himself. The film is based on the book “Mickey 7” by Edward Ashton and also stars Steven Yeun, Toni Collette, Mark Ruffalo and Naomi Ackie.

“Sinners,” written and directed by Coogler, centers on twin brothers — both played by Michael B. Jordan — who return to their hometown of New Orleans to start over, only to discover an even greater evil waiting to welcome you back. The feature is set during the Jim Crow era. Hailee Steinfeld, Delroy Lindo and Jack O’Connell star.

The film is produced by Coogler and his frequent collaborators Sev Ohanian and Zinzi Coogler. The executive producers are Ludwig Göransson, Will Greenfield and Rebecca Cho.

Coogler’s “Sinners” team behind the camera includes his “Black Panther” franchise collaborators: cinematographer Autumn Durald Arkapaw, Oscar-winning production designer Hannah Beachler, editor Michael P. Shawver, Oscar-winning composer Ludwig Göransson and Oscar-winning filmmakers Costume designer Ruth E. Carter.
