That includes Hall of Fame head coach turned NBC media analyst Tony Dungy. A Tampa native, he was at One Buc Palace this week and shared on NBC that Mike Evans told him that his injured hamstring had just fully come back to life.

The comment came during a meeting with Todd Bowles, who strongly agreed.

“When I was on the field today, he told me that this was the part that was back after the hamstring injury,” Dungy said. “There was a time when he couldn’t go deep. The defenders knew this and went after him. Now he can walk past them.”

Bowles wholeheartedly agreed.

“Now he’s back and he can get his bearings and you can see the big plays starting to emerge and we’re going to need every single one of them down the stretch,” Bowles said.

Joe is happy to hear it Evans thinks he’s at full strength now.

In a funny display of coaching speak, Bowles said last month that Evans had a full “green light” after his hamstring injury, while at the same time Buccaneers Ring of Honor general manager Jason Licht said Evans was “100 percent.”

He wasn’t.

Now he is, and that’s sweet music to an already singing Bucs offense.
