Tottenham injury news: Ben Davies suffers setback as Spurs may be without a fit centre-back

After Dragusin limped off the pitch in the 87th minute of the 1-0 defeat at Forest, Spurs finished the game with 18-year-old Archie Gray in defense and fellow midfielder Yves Bissouma at centre-back.

Full-back Djed Spence is also suspended for the 15:00 GMT kick-off against Wolves as Postecoglou said the injury crisis was the worst he had experienced in his managerial career.

“There have always been problems at different times, but not to this extent,” he added.

“I think we almost consistently had ten first-team players who were unavailable for a long run of games.

“We’ve been doing this for a while and we’re keeping our fingers crossed that there won’t be any more problems, but because of the type of football and the game planning we had, we were always on a fine line trying to get through.

“It’s another test for us, but it is what it is and whatever we have to deal with, we will deal with it and prepare for Sunday.”

The Forest defeat was Spurs’ ninth of the season and dropped them to 11th place in the Premier League.

They play Liverpool in the Carabao Cup semi-final next month and Postecoglou said he still feels the support of the club’s fans despite increasing pressure and criticism over his attacking style.

“They love their football club, they care about their football club and they want their football club to be successful,” said the Australian. “They make these feelings and emotions visible.

“Since I’ve been here I’ve felt nothing but support. I still feel like that support is there. I will continue to do what I believe is right to bring success to this football club, that will not change.”
