A report last year claimed that Golden State had contacted the Lakers about a possible James trade — an approach rejected by James and his camp, the report said.

But with the Lakers struggling this season and Golden State looking for another star, rumors of a possible James move have resurfaced.

And ESPN’s Brian Windhorst revealed that James is indeed on the Warriors’ radar.

“I know this is one of the most intriguing opportunities in the league, it’s a delicious situation to think about,” Windhorst said on Get Up.

“The Warriors have been dreaming of pairing LeBron with Steph Curry and Draymond Green since last year. That was before LeBron played with Steve Kerr and Steph Curry and won the gold medal in the summer.

“They will definitely monitor the situation.

“With LeBron, I would just say it’s up to him. He has a no-trade clause and has not indicated that he wants the Lakers to do anything other than improve their roster, nor that he wants to go anywhere.”

Of course, the new CBA rules make a Warriors-Lakers trade extremely difficult since LA is in the frontcourt.

The Lakers also just drafted James’ son Bronny, so it’s hard to imagine James wanting to leave the Lakers.

James, who turns 40 next month and recently said his “time (left in the NBA) is very limited” even though his form has declined from his previous epic heights, could become a free agent next offseason , if he opts out of his $52 million deal.

This comes after ESPN’s Shams Charania announced that the Heat are now “open to offers” for Butler.

The Houston Rockets. The Dallas Mavericks and Warriors are reportedly teams the 35-year-old would like to join.

Charania announced that the Phoenix Suns can also be added to this team list.

Butler is effectively in contract season, as he can waive his $52.4 million player option with Miami and become a free agent next offseason.

“The Heat are open to listening to offers for Butler and completing a deal if the proposal is correct, league sources told ESPN,” Charania wrote.

“And Butler’s agent Bernie Lee has indicated in league circles that Butler is open to destinations such as two of the Texas teams (Houston and Dallas) and the Golden State Warriors.

“Butler is from Houston, Texas. Above all, it is assumed that in every profession he prefers a title contender who can win immediately.”

Butler has averaged 19 points, 5.4 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 1.2 steals in 17 of 22 possible games for the Heat this season after president of basketball operations Pat Riley indicated the The star’s health would be central to the decision-making process to potentially give him a maximum contract extension.

The 12-10 Heat have won three straight games, including five of their last seven, to hold the fifth seed in the East, with Tyler Herro emerging as the team’s top star in a breakout season.
