Travis Hunter, a superstar two-way player for the Colorado Buffaloes football team, has received nothing but positive press in recent years. That has changed in recent weeks because of his fiancée Leanna Lenee, especially after her behavior at his Heisman Trophy ceremony.

The wide receiver and cornerback received the prestigious award over the weekend, and his family and partner were all in attendance. According to video and reports, Lenee did not share the same excitement as his family when he was announced as the winner. Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders reportedly had to tell her to stand up and congratulate him along with everyone else.

“Gold digger at its best,” one fan wrote. “Why does someone have to tell you or help you so you can champion your husband’s achievements?” Another fan predicted the downfall of their relationship: “She’s there for the money, but I feel sorry for Travis BC, once she gets pregnant and has the baby she is more likely to leave him and collect the child support money *purse emoji* just watch Bookmark this too.”

Another video surfaced online of Travis Hunter taking photos with fans and Leanna Lenee apparently wasn’t too happy about it. She allegedly asked him, “Should I just sit here all day?” as fans continued to approach him to take photos. Hunter recently took to social media to reveal her reaction to all the vitriol.

“You never have a girl, so why are you all talking about me? Find someone to talk about,” he exclaimed in the video. He explained that they had been together for five years and that Lenee had always remained faithful to him and that the hatred she had experienced recently had forced her to cry and turn to alcohol. “Clickbait sites, you better stop,” he asserted. “I’m telling you all. Something bad will happen to all of you if you keep doing this.”

Hunter also revealed at the Heisman Trophy ceremony that Lenee was the reason he started listening to Lil Wayne. “My fiancée loves you,” he said. “I didn’t know any of your songs until she told me because I don’t listen to music. She let me know. She said to me, “You have to listen to this.” “If you don’t listen to music, listen to Wayne.” And from that day on, I just listened to more. Music before the game, those are the songs I listen to. When I get in that TRX and listen to music, I hear Wayne.” This was particularly notable because Weezy has been one of Colorado’s biggest supporters since Sanders started coaching there.
