Travis Kelce scores a historic touchdown in Week 17

Head coach Andy Reid kept his foot on the gas pedal in the fourth quarter of the Kansas City Chiefs’ Week 17 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Christmas Day.

Chiefs linebacker Nick Bolton recovered a fumble by Steelers tight end Pat Freiermuth early in the game’s final frame, and Patrick Mahomes was sure to take advantage of optimal field position to extend Kansas City’s lead.

On a second down play from Pittsburgh’s 12-yard line, Mahomes rolled out and threw a touchdown pass to star tight end Travis Kelce, who easily recovered the ball while standing all alone in the Steelers’ end zone.

With this result, Kelce took sole possession of the top spot in the Kansas City franchise record books for most touchdowns in Chiefs history.

Stay tuned to see if Mahomes will continue to keep an eye on Kelce’s side as Kansas City looks to secure a win over Pittsburgh and the No. 1 seed in the AFC playoffs.
