Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross win Best Original Music at the 2025 Golden Globes for Challengers

Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross won Best Original Music at the 2025 Golden Globe Awards challenger. They beat former Yuck frontman Daniel Blumberg (The brutalist), Hans Zimmer (Dune: Part Two), Volker Bertelmann (conclave), Kris Bowers (The wild robot) and Camille and Clément Ducol (Emilia Perez) for the trophy. This is the sixth Golden Globes nomination and third win of her career.

Reznor and Ross accepted the award from Elton John – who shouted “YAY!” as the names of the winners were read out – and Brandi Carlile. While Reznor did not speak at the podium, Ross gave a short speech: “This really means a lot, especially in this special moment. First, I would like to thank my best friend and musical partner, the amazing Trent Reznor. The music never felt like a safe choice, but it always felt like the right one. Earlier in the evening, Camille and Clément Ducol won the award for best original song for “El Mal.” Emilia Perez.
