Trump announces choice for US ambassador to Great Britain

President-elect Trump has selected businessman and philanthropist Warren A. Stephens as the U.S. Ambassador to the Court of St. James, which, in simple terms, is the country’s representative to the United Kingdom

“Over the past 38 years, while serving as president, chairman and CEO of his company, Stephens Inc., Warren has built a wonderful financial services company while selflessly giving back to his community as a philanthropist,” Trump said in a post on Truth Social. “Warren has always dreamed of serving the United States full-time. I am pleased that he will now have this opportunity as a top diplomat, representing the United States to one of America’s most valued and beloved allies.”

Trump then congratulated Stephens, his wife Harriet, their three children Miles, John and Laura, and their six grandchildren.

The announcement comes as Trump continues to fill several positions in his administration.
