Two Girl Scout cookie flavors will be discontinued after the 2025 sales season

Jan. 7 (UPI) — As Girl Scouts cookie sales season begins, two flavors of the coveted treats will be discontinued later this year.

Girl Scout “S’mores” and “Toast-Yay!” Cookies will be available for the last time until April before they are gone forever.

“The attitude of Toast-Yay! and Girl Scout S’mores could lead to something new and delicious,” a spokesperson for the Girl Scouts of the USA teased, without revealing a reason for the resignations.

This is not the first time in its 112-year history that GSUSA has retired a type of cookie. Two years ago, “Raspberry Rally” was discontinued, shortly before an online frenzy highlighted its popularity and the boxes were resold on eBay for up to $30 each.

No word on whether S’mores or Toast-Yay could see the same surge in popularity as the Boy Scout organization looks to refresh its offerings.

Boxes of Girl Scout cookies, including the popular Thin Mints, Samoas and Tagalongs, are typically $7 each, depending on flavor and location. The price has increased by a dollar per box in the last two years.

S’mores cookies — the “crunchy graham sandwich cookies with chocolate and marshmallow filling” — were first introduced in 2017.

Toast Yay! — the “toast-shaped cookies packed with French toast flavor and dipped in delicious glaze” — debuted in 2021.

“This is the last season you’ll have Toast-Yay! and get your hands on Girl Scout S’mores. Yes, you heard right — they’re going out with a bang, and you’ll want to “stock up on supplies before they’re gone forever,” GSUSA wrote Tuesday.

“These sweet staples have been fan favorites for years, and now is your chance to say goodbye in the most delicious way possible.”
