Tyler, the Creator brings his fans a holiday gift with a newly released freestyle remix of Kendrick Lamar’s “Hey Now” from his new album GNX.

Tyler goes to X on Christmas Day and drops the new freestyle track titled “That Guy” while rapping over Kendrick’s “Hey Now.” Along with the song, he releases an accompanying music video, directed by Tyler himself and performing at various undisclosed locations in his hometown of Hawthorne, California. The video features his Odd Future brothers Jasper Dolphin, Travis “Taco” Bennett and Lionel “L-Boy” Boyce in a scene where they all attempt to ride bikes together up an empty road. He defers to his peers as he gushes about his wealth and flaunts his influence and prosperity. In his freestyle, Tyler also references Kendrick’s Pop Out concert in LA in June. Tyler can be heard rapping, “Lil Bunny hop out, you saw me pop out / Pandemonium screaming like they got Pac out / Stop the chit-chat where we let out the backlash / Big stud energy, how I get my leak back.” .” / Hey, now tell me I just care about my bands / Shit, I’m on bitch, you wouldn’t understand.”

Tyler announced the surprise freestyle remix by responding to an old post that a fan flagged asking him to freestyle: “Hey Now.” He responds with: “Merry Christmas. had fun with it,” with a link to the music video for “That Guy.” Check out the music video and listen to the routine above or below.
