Tyreek Hill’s agent says star WR has ‘committed’ to the Dolphins.

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill is “committed” to the team, his agent Drew Rosenhaus said, after Hill’s recent postgame comments seemed to point to a possible departure.

Hill expressed his displeasure with the Dolphins’ regular-season loss to the New York Jets on Sunday, saying he had to do what was best for him and his family “if that’s the case here or wherever.”

“I’m out, bro,” Hill said Sunday. “It was great to play here, but at the end of the day I have to do what’s best for my career.”

During an appearance Thursday on “The Pat McAfee Show,” Rosenhaus dismissed Hill’s comments as emotional words from a frustrated competitor.

“I think Tyreek is a great asset to the Dolphins and I think he’s the guy people in this organization should be least worried about. They have a lot more to worry about – Tyreek Hill isn’t one of them.”

Dolphins general manager Chris Grier said Tuesday that he had a productive conversation with Hill and that the wide receiver had not asked him for a trade. Rosenhaus on Thursday referred to Hill’s “excellent” meeting with Grier and coach Mike McDaniel and said he believes Hill remains loyal to the team that represented him in 2022.

“What you see with Tyreek is very real. He wants to win – that’s not enough for him not to get into the playoffs,” said Rosenhaus. “I think at the end of the day he’s committed to the Dolphins football team,” he said. “I think Tyreek is a great asset to the Dolphins and I think he’s the last person people in this organization should be worried about. They have a lot more to worry about – Tyreek Hill isn’t one of them.”

However, Rosenhaus did not confirm that Hill wants to remain in Miami because he has not yet spoken to his client about the issue.

“Let me just say this – I need to have this conversation with Tyreek. I will not speak for him,” he said. “I’m not going to say, ‘He does, he doesn’t.’ That’s a discussion I need to have with him that I haven’t had yet.

Hill had one of the worst statistical seasons of his career in 2024, with 81 catches for 959 yards and six touchdowns despite playing in all 17 games — which his agent said was an accomplishment in itself.

Rosenhaus told McAfee that Hill broke his wrist while training with the Washington Commanders in August and doctors recommended he undergo season-ending surgery.

“We have top-notch wrist doctors telling Tyreek, ‘You have to have surgery, you’re going to miss the season,'” Rosenhaus said. “Tyreek says to me and the Dolphins, ‘I’m not going to miss the season, I’m going to play. I want to be there for my team.’”

Rosenhaus said doctors told Hill that the problem could remain for the rest of his career if he didn’t get it surgically fixed quickly, but Hill decided to play through it. Hill confirmed to local reporters in November that surgery was “discussed” and that he was “in a good position” to opt for surgery in the offseason.

Hill told ESPN’s Lisa Salters in November that an MRI showed torn ligaments in his wrist and that the injury worsened during his arrest by Miami-Dade Police Department officers outside Hard Rock Stadium before the team’s regular season opener in September have.

If Sunday’s loss were Hill’s final game in a Dolphins uniform, it would be the short end of a statistically significant start to his Dolphins tenure. Hill pulled out of Sunday’s game, with McDaniel saying he was made aware in the fourth quarter that Hill was “unavailable.”

During their farewell interview this week, McDaniel said he and Hill made it clear that he had decided to retire from the game – and that it would never be tolerated again.

“I think his competitive spirit can reflect the aftermath, especially in a season or a game that nobody likes. It can indicate that a relationship is going in one direction,” McDaniel said. “I was very direct with him. He was very honest and the terms we discussed were great. We discussed several things, including without hesitation that leaving a game is not acceptable and will not be tolerated in the future, and he has taken responsibility. I wouldn’t say that there is necessarily anything to fix, but rather that we needed to provide clarity in a difficult and turbulent situation.

Hill has two years left on the extension he signed with the Dolphins in 2022. This past offseason, he agreed to a restructured contract that increased the full guaranteed money on his contract to $106.5 million – the highest guaranteed money for a wide receiver in NFL history.
