Oleksandr Usyk retains the heavyweight championship with a unanimous decision win over Tyson Fury and the same score on all three cards: 116-112. Very close fight. But that’s why Usyk is the best pound for pound in the world. #UsykFury2

With the unanimous decision win, Usyk increased to 23-0 (14 knockouts).

Although all three judges ultimately scored 116-112 in Usyk’s favor, they certainly didn’t get there in the same way. The judges agreed on five rounds (4, 5, 6, 10 and 11), but had different opinions on the other seven.

After the 10th round, Usyk won 97-93 on one card and 96-94 on the other two. He then won the 11th round, which gave him a huge lead going into the 12th round. Usyk then won this round with two referee cards and secured the victory.

The CompuBox statistics clearly speak for Usyk here too:

It’s unclear what happens next for Usyk, but Daniel Dubois wants a rematch based on his post-match confrontation in the ring.

As for Fury, this is a tough loss as it is his second time losing to Usyk. Fury has only lost to Usyk so far and otherwise has an impressive record of 34-0-1 as a professional.
