UEFA Champions League Predictions: Matchday 12/10

The 2024-25 UEFA Champions League returns to matchday six. Liverpool look to cement their place in the top eight, Real Madrid look to climb the table, European giants Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain and more are in action. SI Soccer gives our prediction for the entire slate of games on Tuesday, December 10th.

Prediction: Dinamo Zagreb 2-2 Celtic

Only one point separates Dinamo Zagreb and Celtic in the overall standings with seven and eight points respectively. A win for both sides would increase their chances of qualifying. There will be goals in this duel, but in the end both sides will settle for one point – Max Mallow

Prediction: Girona 0-3 Liverpool

What hasn’t been said about Liverpool so far this season? The only team to collect 15 out of 15 points goes on and solidifies themselves as a top 8 team, perhaps the top seed in the entire league stage – Max Mallow

Prediction: Brest 2-2 PSV

Thanks to a winning goal from Ricardo Pepi in the 95th minute, PSV achieved one of the best victories of the league phase in their last game. Brest, on the other hand, was crushed by Barcelona. Both teams need three points to boost their chances of qualifying, but the points are shared here – Max Mallow

Prediction: Shakhtar Donetsk 1-3 Bayern Munich

Shakhtar Donetsk is level with PSG with four points in the duel, but the team lost to Bayern Munich. Vincent Kompany’s side claim another win and have 12 points after six games – Max Mallow

Prediction: Club Brugge 1-1 Sporting CP

Sporting suffered a heavy defeat against Arsenal last time out and will be looking to get back to winning ways without Ruben Amorim. Club Brugge is struggling to stay in the top 24 with just seven points. A point apiece that could be huge for the Belgian team’s hopes of qualifying for the knockout rounds – Max Mallow

Prediction: RB Salzburg – Paris Saint-Germain 0:2

PSG is by far the biggest name in the league stage that currently does not have a qualifying spot. With just four points, Luis Enrique’s team has to start with a victory with two games to go after Salzburg. PSG manages to make amends for a terrible start to the campaign – Max Mallow

Prediction: RB Leipzig 2-1 Aston Villa

After winning their first three games, Aston Villa dropped points in consecutive weeks, with a loss to Club Brugge and a draw with Juventus. Unai Emery’s team has also been up and down domestically in recent weeks. Leipzig not only gets the win, but also the first points of the season and hopes for a miracle run – Max Mallow

Prediction: Leverkusen – Inter Milan 1:2

The first of currently two duels between the eight best teams. Depending on Liverpool’s result, Inter could take the lead here with an away win. Leverkusen bounced back from their defeat at Anfield with a 5-0 win against RB Salzburg. However, the reigning Serie A champions do their business away: Max Mallow

Prediction: Atalanta 1-1 Real Madrid

Carlo Ancelotti’s men desperately need three points but their recent Champions League woes could continue against an Atalanta side unbeaten in 14 games. The Serie A leaders have conceded just one goal in the UCL this season and will have the home crowd on their side against the best player in the world – Amanda Langell
