Upcoming events in Greenville include Jay Leno, Arsenio Hall at the Peace Center and Monster Jam

Get out there and have fun on the first weekend of 2025. There are several events taking place in the Upstate this weekend and beyond.

Jay Leno and Arsenio Hall

Two late-night talk show legends will take the stage in Greenville next week.

Jay Leno will perform at the Peace Center Concert Hall on January 8th at 7:30 p.m. Arsenio Hall will serve as a special guest at the performance.

Leno is known for his two-decade tenure as host of “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” and his CNBC primetime series “Jay Leno’s Garage.” Leno’s career also includes hosting the comedy game show You Bet Your Life, appearing in over 100 stand-up shows per year, and authoring best-selling children’s books.

Hall is best known for The Arsenio Hall Show. His career began with stand-up comedy and progressed to roles in television and film, including the iconic “Coming to America.”

Tickets range from $70 to $115.

Forbidden Broadway

Forbidden Broadway runs Friday, January 3, through Sunday, January 5, at the Gunter Theater in Greenville.

With shows on Friday at 7:30 p.m., Saturday at 1:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., and Sunday at 1:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., this satirical revue offers a humorous twist on popular Broadway hits.

The ticket price is $45.

Featuring over 30 Broadway hits, Forbidden Broadway features outlandish costumes and silly parodies of your favorite songs.

Nerf night

There will be a Nerf Night on Friday, January 3rd from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Cudd Memorial Baptist Church Welcome Center. General admission is free.

Held at 1301 Boiling Springs Road in Spartanburg, this event is for children in first through fifth grade and their parents for an evening of fun.

Participants can take part in exciting Nerf battles, treat themselves to an ice bar and quench their thirst with lemonade.

Bluegrass and BBQ yard party

Visit FR8yard on Saturday, January 4th at 12pm for a Bluegrass & BBQ Yard Party.
