Updated Ravens playoff outlook

The Ravens’ 24-19 loss to the Eagles will cloud the upcoming bye week, but the Ravens are still in a good position to make the playoffs.

At 8-5, the Ravens have a 98% chance of reaching the postseason, according to ESPN’s Power Football Index. NFL.com puts the Ravens’ chances at 96%.

If the season ended today, the Ravens would be the No. 6 seed in the AFC playoffs, which would mean an away playoff game against the Pittsburgh Steelers (9-3).

After the Steelers’ win over the Bengals and Baltimore’s loss on Sunday, the Ravens have a 30 percent chance of winning the division, according to ESPN.

It seems that 10 wins will be enough to get into the postseason. That means against this schedule, the Ravens would have to win half of their remaining games:

  • Week 16 vs. Steelers (9-3)

The Broncos (7-5) are currently in the final playoff spot. Should the Ravens finish in a tie in the standings, they will face a head-to-head tiebreaker.

The Ravens are at least two games ahead of the other two teams fighting for a spot in the playoffs: Colts (6-7) and Dolphins (5-7).

According to ESPN, the Colts have a 29% chance of reaching the postseason, while the Dolphins have an 11% chance. Here’s a look at their remaining dates:
