A Vestavia Hills teenager has died after falling from a moving vehicle. According to the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office, 16-year-old Hudson Joseph Meek of Vestavia Hills suffered blunt force trauma when he fell from a moving vehicle in the 1900 block of Canyon Road last Thursday around 10:45 p.m. Meek died of his injuries Saturday evening at UAB Hospital. According to his IMDB page, Meek was an established actor who had played the younger version of the main character in the critically acclaimed film Baby Driver. He also had guest roles on several television series, including the NBC drama “Found.” “It breaks our hearts to announce that Hudson Meek has gone home to be with Jesus tonight,” read a weekend post on his Instagram page. “His 16 years on this earth were far too short, but he accomplished so much and made a significant impact on everyone he met.” “Specific details about a celebration of Hudson’s life to be held Dec. 28, as well as, how to contribute to a scholarship in Hudson’s memory at Vestavia Hills High School in lieu of flowers,” the post continued. According to the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office, 16-year-old Hudson Joseph Meek of Vestavia Hills suffered blunt force trauma when he fell from a moving vehicle in the 1900 block of Canyon Road last Thursday around 10:45 p.m.

Meek died of his injuries Saturday evening at UAB Hospital.

Vestavia Hills Police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding Meek’s death.
