Politicians on social media are taking note of U.S. Rep. Victoria Spartz’s announcement that she will not serve with her fellow Republicans or serve on committees in the next Congress in different ways.

Chris Jensen, the Republican mayor of Noblesville, reposted a tweet from Feb. 5, the day Spartz announced she would run for re-election after previously saying she would not: ” Hoosiers in the 5th CD deserve to be represented in DC by stable, focused and results-oriented conservative leadership. That’s why I’m proud to support my friend (State Rep. Chuck Goodrich), who will stand strong for our shared principles in a way that doesn’t seek chaos and division.”

Some Republicans expressed concern about losing their razor-thin majority in the U.S. House of Representatives.
