At the beginning of 2025, calendars are already filling up with holidays.

In addition to official holidays recognized by the Office of Personnel Management, President Joe Biden has designated Jan. 9 as a national day of mourning following the death of former President Jimmy Carter.

This year, religious and cultural holidays such as Easter, Hanukkah and Ramadan are celebrated, among other annual customs.

When is Inauguration Day?

President-elect Donald Trump will be sworn in at his inauguration on Monday, January 20, as set forth in the 20th Amendment.

When will the Super Bowl and other sports dates take place in 2025?

The Super Bowl is scheduled to take place on Sunday, February 9th. The NBA All-Star Game follows a week later on Sunday, February 16th.

Major League Baseball’s Opening Day is expected on Thursday, March 27, and the All-Star Game is expected on Tuesday, July 15.

The Boston Marathon will take place on Monday, April 21st and the New York City Marathon will take place on Sunday, November 2nd.
