Warmer, dry weather as the Wolf Moon arrives

High pressure will remain under control for most of this week and although temperatures will be slightly milder to start, more cold air will move in.

Boston received 1.8 inches of snow over the weekend, bringing the total so far this season to 7½ inches, which is exactly 50 percent of what would currently be expected. Keep in mind that snowfall is very erratic, so the fact that it’s only half of average is honestly pretty meaningless.

A quick heavy snowstorm will take us back or even above average if it happens.

Today it is sunny and dry with high temperatures around 40 degrees.

This evening, take advantage of clear skies and the rising full wolf moon in the east at sunset. When the moon is higher in the sky, there is an opportunity to see Mars, which is quite bright, practically next to the full moon. This is a beautiful sight and for those of you who may be photographers, it is an opportunity to take a beautiful photo.
