Warmer temperatures and fog will prevail at the weekend

On Saturday there will be high temperatures around 53 degrees; The fog that has prevailed for most of the week will continue.

I like how this graphic says “City View,” but it’s not real. Well, not so much. WE HAVE A CORNER VIEW. THAT’S THAT, YOU KNOW, THAT’S EVERYTHING FROM THIS PERSPECTIVE. BUT IT HELPS TO TELL OUR STORY THIS MORNING. And that means we have a weather impact in the morning because of the thick fog. At the moment it is at its thickest. IT’S THICKER NOW THAN LAST WEEK. And we deal with fog almost every day. THIS WEEK OUR CURRENT TEMPERATURE IS 37°C AND THE WINDS ARE TOTALLY CALM. SINCE IT WAS HARD TO SEE WITH THIS CITY VIEW CAMERA, I ASKED OUR VIEWERS ON FACEBOOK IF THEY WOULD LIKE TO JOIN THE NEWS SHOW. SEND ME YOUR PICTURE AND I WILL SHOW IT. AND THIS IS THE FIRST ONE IN AND THIS IS FROM MEGAN MORROW FROM SKIDMORE, MISSOURI. THERE YOU CAN SEE A BEAUTIFUL TREE shrouded in the fog that we also capture on our cityscape cameras, so to speak. HERE’S A LOOK AT OUR FOCUS. It’s the fog over Kansas City, where visibility is a quarter mile or less. I don’t really understand it. Let me just pan. NOW YOU CAN SWAN WITH ME. I don’t see anything better than a quarter mile at the moment. THICK FOG OVER US, AGAIN OVER MUCH OF THE MIDDLE OF THE COUNTRY AND OVER ALABAMA AND PARTS OF FLORIDA. Another major storm is heading our way in the Pacific Northwest that could produce our rain. COME MONDAY EVENING. TODAY THIS STORM WILL STAY SOUTH OF US, BUT IT WILL ALREADY REMAIN RAIN AND STORMY WEATHER IN TEXAS. There is a high risk of seeing tornadoes in this part of the country today. Large hail and damaging winds. FROM MONROE, LOUISIANA TO JACKSON, MISSISSIPPI, TO NEW ORLEANS, YOU WILL BE WATCHING VERY CLOSELY AS THIS SYSTEM POURS AN OUTBREAK OF SEVERE WEATHER TODAY AND STRONG STORMS OVERNIGHT IN KENTUCKY, TENNESSEE ON THE WAY TO INDIANA AND OHIO. BUT IT COMPLETELY MISSES IT. AGAIN OUR RAINMAKER, COMING FROM THE NORTHWEST, OFFERS US THE CHANCE OF MEASURABLE RAIN. AND IT WILL ARRIVE ON MONDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING. JUST RAIN. IF YOU ARE RIGHT THERE ON THE BORDER OF IOWA OR NEBRASKA, THERE MAY BE A MOMENT WHEN YOU SEE A SNOWFLAKE FLYING, BUT IT IS NOT EXPECTED TO ACCUMULATE. Rainfall appears to be about half an inch. We’ll stay in the 50s through the weekend and into Monday, but Monday night’s rain will make for some cold weather. ON THE LAST DAY OF THE YEAR OUR TEMPERATURE WILL NORMALLY BE 39 DEGREES. So when you go out on New Year’s Eve, forget about the 50s that we have enjoyed in recent days. It will feel like it’s just in your teens. There will be very strong winds on New Year’s Eve with gusts of up to 30 miles per hour. WEDNESDAY, NEW YEAR’S DAY JUST COLD. NOTHING EXTREME. That’s actually pretty close to what’s normal at the start of the year. 37 FOR HEIGHT, BUT IT’S GETTING COLDER. FRIDAY HIGH 32 NEXT SUNDAY. There seems to be at least a chance
