SAN FRANCISCO – Jonathan Kuminga scored a career-high 33 points and hit two crucial layups with 1:04 left in the finale. The Golden State Warriors ended a five-game losing streak by defeating the Houston Rockets 99-93 on Thursday night.

Andrew Wiggins added 23 points and Brandin Podziemski grabbed 12 rebounds for the Warriors in the opening game of a consecutive home game.

Golden State was missing starters Stephen Curry and Draymond Green due to injuries – Curry was sidelined with sore knees and Green was sidelined with tightness in his left calf. Both are expected to return on Friday.

Wiggins was questionable because of an impingement in his right ankle.

Alperen Sengun had 16 points and eight rebounds to lead Houston.
