“Warriors make injury announcement during Suns game”

The Golden State Warriors lost to the LA Clippers on Friday night, but are back in action on Saturday against the Phoenix Suns. Golden State’s loss to LA occurred at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, and the second half of the back-to-back game will take place at the Chase Center in San Francisco.

Steph Curry missed Friday night’s game due to treatment for bilateral knee injuries, but returned to the starting lineup on Saturday. Draymond Green also missed the Clippers game but returned alongside Curry against Phoenix.

While the Warriors got Curry and Green back against the Suns, they lost another key player during the game.

The Warriors announced that second-year guard Brandin Podziemski suffered an abdominal strain and would not return to the game.

Via Warriors PR: “Brandin Podziemski (abdominal strain) will not return to game tonight.”

Podziemski had his ups and downs in his second NBA season, but had a solid performance against the Clippers. Podziemski was scoreless in 11 minutes on Saturday and finished without a single point.

The Warriors had a 17-point lead in Podziemski’s 11 minutes as the young guard struggled to make a positive impact on the game. Still, the Warriors are definitely hoping he can avoid an extended absence and get back to contributing.

Golden State’s next game is Monday against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
