The Golden State Warriors have lost three straight games and nine of their last 11 games and enter Saturday night against the Minnesota Timberwolves, who have won six of their last eight games.

However, one of those two losses came against the Warriors, and with these teams playing for the third time in the last two weeks, Golden State should have the familiarity of playing within the +3 range.

Prediction: Warriors vs. Timberwolves

My best choice
Warrior +3 (-110 at bet365)

My analysis
Since their surprising 12-3 start, things have looked bleak for the Golden State Warriors, who have now lost nine of their last 11 games and fallen to 14-12.

During that time, they were the fourth-worst team by net rating, including the fourth-worst offensive rating and the eighth-worst defensive rating during that time.

And while the NBA is a game of long stretches, both within a given game and over a given period of the long season, sometimes there is a nuance that creates opportunities.

Take, for example, the Warriors and Minnesota Timberwolves, who due to a strange scheduling conspiracy will be playing their third game against each other in just over two weeks.

This level of frequency and familiarity creates a strange vacuum in which the players and coaches are playing an almost fake playoff series and yet such blows have happened The Warriors were among the worst in the league during this time.

In the first game, Golden State lost 107-90, which many would have expected given their form at the time. But strangely, they responded two nights later with a 114-106 win.

And the strange thing about this second game is that in this second game, Minnesota shot better from three (45% vs. 33%), shot more free throws (20 vs. 14), and turned the ball over less (17 vs. 14). a completely different (loss) result.

If the +3 on the Warriors tonight seems suspiciously short, that’s because tonight is, for all intents and purposes, a coin toss. And with a coin toss you always get the points.

Warrior +3

Anthony Edwards under 25.5 points

Rudy Gobert over 11.5 rebounds

Anthony Edwards had 30 and 27 points in the first two contests, but that was unusual for Steve Kerr’s usual game plan for the young superstar.

Edwards managed to exceed today’s point total of 25.5 just once in his last four games against Golden State, and while he surpassed that mark in the last two games, he has had to make four and five three-pointers in each of those contests – something Despite similar volume, he had only managed that once in his last nine games against the Warriors.

In the paint, we should see Rudy Gobert put in a solid performance on the glass. He failed to reach today’s point total of 11.5 in the previous two contests, but he had reached that mark in 15 of his previous 17 games against Golden State.
