The Game Awards were and are over, and the presentation brought everything from The Witcher 4 to Elden Ring updates to Harrison Ford.

The show was full of big reveals, but one of them was perhaps the most anticipated. Grand Theft Auto fans are desperate for a new look at the sixth installment in the series, more than a year since the first trailer.

Did it show up? Unfortunately no, because Rockstar is once again very quiet.

Will GTA 6 still make it to 2025?

Unfortunately, there was no word about Grand Theft Auto 6 at this year’s show, and Rockstar once again held back when it came to revealing new content. However, the game won the title of “Most Anticipated Game” at the show.

The studio has revealed updates almost whenever it chose to, rather than at third-party events, so perhaps it’s no surprise – but the GTA subreddit and social media are still reeling.

Will people start looking for more clues? Bet fans have already weighed in on the phases of the moon in GTA Online, but a former Rockstar developer has hinted that the team behind GTA will “dabble” on the fan theories.

Given suggestions that the new release could be pushed back to 2026, there’s every chance Rockstar will set a date in the next trailer. Other publishers are certainly hoping this is the case as they are reportedly trying to avoid Rockstar in 2025.
