Watch: Al Roker steps aside as Hollywood star takes on role on ‘Today’

Today’s weather report looked a little different than usual on Tuesday’s show, as Al Roker stepped aside to make way for a temporary stand-in who brought some Hollywood magic to the studio.

After her interview with hosts Hoda Kotb and Savannah Guthrie about her skincare brand The Outset, she let actress Scarlett Johansson take the lead. The Black widow Star was a natural on the green screen and even received applause from the two hosts. Watch the moment in the video below.

This isn’t the first time Scarlet has helped Al with the weather. The Lost in translation The actress has made it a tradition to take the weather forecast whenever she stops by Studio 1A. She first filled in for Al in 2012 when the weatherman was suffering from laryngitis.

During her last appearance on Today, Scarlett revealed that she is celebrating her 40th birthday this November. When asked how she felt about the milestone birthday, she said: “It feels great.”

You don’t care what other people think. I mean, I’m sure like everyone else, you’re forever so caught up in what other people think, how desirable you are, how people like you, and then you just realize it doesn’t matter ” she added.

Scarlett makes her directorial debut with Eleanor The Great

The star also spoke about her directorial debut for the upcoming film “Eleanor The Great,” which is about a 90-year-old woman trying to rebuild her life after the death of her best friend and after living in Florida York City returns decades.

When asked about her experience in the director’s chair, she said, “It felt like a seamless transition for me because working with actors is something I love doing. It’s funny, as an actor you put in so much time. “On set you just know what everyone is doing and what they have to do to do their job.”

Scarlett turned 40 this November

The film stars June Squibb alongside Chiwetel Ejiofor, Jessica Hecht and Erin Kellyman. A release date has not yet been announced.
