Ohio State Buckeyes wide receiver Emeka Egbuka (2) attempts to catch the ball during the first half at Ohio Stadium on Saturday, December 21, 2024 in Columbus, Ohio.

The Ohio State Buckeyes are on a mission on both sides of the ball to prove that they are the best team in the country, especially after their season-ending loss to the Michigan Wolverines.

They are now 14-0 against the No. 1 Oregon Ducks in the Rose Bowl from Pasadena, California.

After Jeremiah Smith opened the scoring just a minute into the game, Emeka Egbuka doubled the Buckeyes’ lead with a 42-yard touchdown that was more exciting than Smith’s 45-yard screen touchdown. Egbuka scored with 7:31 left in the first quarter.

However, below you can see the touchdown Eguka scored, which is partly due to how much coverage and attention is given to Smith.

QB Will Howard was on fire early in the game, having thrown for 165 yards on his first nine attempts. Six of those attempts were intercepted, and Smith was the primary receiver on those attempts with 86 yards and a score.

Gee Scott Jr. has 30 of them with his one catch and Egubka has 49 of them with his other two catches. While the Buckeyes haven’t gotten much going on the ground yet, there doesn’t appear to be much concern at the moment.
