In just under 91 minutes, director Mel Gibson (“Hacksaw Ridge”) tells the story of a government witness (Topher Grace) who is accompanied by an FBI agent (Michelle Dockery) on a flight piloted by a hitman (Mark Wahlberg). becomes. Chaos ensues in the air.

“It is a suspenseful thriller set in real time,” Gibson said in a statement, calling the film an experience “that exploits the viewer’s identity through a fear of flying.”

A typically muscular Wahlberg opted for a completely opposite game in Flight Risk, shaving his head daily for his role as bald psychopath Daryl Booth.

Gibson says: “It’s about Mark bringing out his dark side as he runs his empire and has lunch with his children. He is a multidimensional performer who has managed to find the essence of a deranged, bald-headed sociopath.”

Wahlberg was clearly having fun. “I relished the chance to play a completely insane villain again and this film delivers on every level,” he said in a statement.

The film’s screenplay was written by Jared Rosenberg several years ago and was voted one of Hollywood’s most popular unproduced screenplays in 2020, according to the Black List, an online hub for screenwriters.
