The past few years have shown that this is Nikola Jokic’s decade in the NBA. Jokic has won three NBA MVP Awards and several other prestigious awards.

Fans around the world have been clamoring for the Serbian superstar to get his own signature sneaker, and that finally happened this season. Jokic teamed up with Chinese brand 361 Degrees to launch the JOKER 1 earlier this month.

Now the big man is starring in the first commercial for JOKER 1. The commercial perfectly highlights Jokic’s relaxed yet determined personality. Below is the video from 361 Degree that was shared on social media.

During the 51-second commercial, Jokic appeals to underdogs around the world. “Maybe you’re someone like me, an outsider from a small town. But you can be whatever you want,” said Jokic.

It should be recalled that Jokic was selected 41st overall in the 2014 NBA Draft. His rise to global superstardom was anything but predetermined. The 29-year-old’s rise in the sneaker industry is all the more surprising.

The highly anticipated global launch, themed “Disrupting The Game,” took place on December 2nd at the Ball Arena in Denver, Colorado. In China, exclusive launches are scheduled for December 14th in Chengdu and December 21st in Hangzhou.

The JOKER 1 is just the beginning. 361 Degrees plans to expand Jokic’s product line to include footwear, apparel and basketball gear, offering fans a complete basketball lifestyle. Online shoppers who have trouble finding his sneakers in stores can find them online on trusted sneaker resale sites StockX and eBay.

Jokic began his career at Nike before signing a multi-year signature sneaker deal with 361 Degrees in late 2023. He joins teammate Aaron Gordon, who also runs his own line of basketball shoes with the Chinese sportswear company.
