The New York Rangers host the Dallas Stars on Tuesday night at Madison Square Garden.

The Rangers are coming off a 6-2 win over the Chicago Blackhawks on Sunday and are 18-20-1 on the season. The Stars have a 24-13-1 record and defeated the Utah Hockey Club 3-2 on Sunday.

Contract dispute between MSG and Altice darkens games for Optimum customers

Altice USA has blocked the MSG Networks channels for its Optimum customers, leaving many New Yorkers unable to access New York Knicks, New York Rangers, New York Islanders and New Jersey Devils games.

According to MSG Networks, the two companies’ contract expired on December 31, 2024 and neither has agreed to a new contract. If you are an Optimum customer, you have lost access to the MSG Network, MSG Sportsnet and MSG+ live streaming service within the Gotham Sports app, MSG Networks says.

Optimum has a partnership with Fubo, which offers its customers a free trial of the streaming service as well as a 30% discount on the first two months, the company’s website says. Some of the games will also be available on other networks, including ABC, ESPN, TBS, TNT, NHL Network, NBA TV, ESPN+ and Hulu, according to the company.
