Jimmy Carter, the 39th President of the United States, will be buried on Thursday after he died on December 29th at the age of 100.

Carter’s state funeral began Saturday morning at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center in Americus, Georgia. After Carter was buried at the Carter Presidential Center, his remains were transferred to the U.S. Capitol on Tuesday.

Carter continued to lie in state Wednesday with a military honor guard and the public had the opportunity to visit and pay their respects.

Carter’s national funeral service at the Washington National Cathedral begins with a brief arrival ceremony at 9:30 a.m. ET, followed by the full funeral service at 10 a.m

Carter will be transported to Plains, Georgia, where a private memorial service will be held at 3:45 p.m. ET. He and his family will then move to the Carter Residence for a private funeral at 5:20 p.m. PT.
