Watch Taylor Swift’s final surprise song performance of the Eras Tour

Taylor Swift said goodbye to the Eras Tour last night, including the popular surprise song portion of the tour. For her final surprise song, Swift actually performed five numbers: “A Place in This World,” “New Romantics,” “Long Live,” “New Year’s Day” and “The Manuscript.”

The singer opened the segment with her acoustic guitar, performing “A Place in This World” from her self-titled debut album and “New Romantics.” 1989. View here.

Swift then sat down at her piano to play “Long Live” from her 2010 album Speak Now. Slightly adapting the emotional lyrics to the moment, she sang, “It was the end of an era/But the beginning of an age.” She then turned to 2017’s “New Year’s Day.” Calland “The Manuscript,” a track from their latest LP, The Tortured Poets Department. The singer wrapped up her long-running Eras tour in Vancouver at BC Place and performed her final concert on Sunday, December 8th. During the show, she acknowledged both the success of the tour and its end, telling the audience, “You know we’ve traveled all over the world with this tour. We had so many adventures that it was the most exciting, powerful, thrilling, intense and challenging thing I have ever done in my life.”

One of fans’ favorite moments on the Eras Tour each night was the surprise song, thanks in part to the fact that Swift largely stuck to a setlist and script for the rest of the tour. For her penultimate night on Saturday, also in Vancouver, Swift once again brought in her friend and opening act Gracie Abrams to perform alongside her for the surprise song segment. The duo delivered a mashup of Abrams’ “I Love You, I’m Sorry” with the Swift ballad “Last Kiss.”

The Eras Tour kicked off on March 17, 2023 in Glendale, Arizona. The global journey has played host to many memorable moments and special guests over the past few months, including Travis Kelce himself, who performed at London’s Wembley Stadium.
