Your New Orleans weather forecast includes a series of strong to severe storms this evening, bringing the highest risk of tornadoes across Southeast Louisiana. A WDSU First Warning Weather ALERT DAY continues through this evening due to the threat of severe storms and possible tornadoes. A tornado warning is in effect for Tangipahoa and Washington parishes until 7:15 p.m. Scattered showers and storms began shortly after dawn on Saturday, with a few stronger storms until midday. The strongest storms will occur in most of southeast Louisiana after 8 p.m. and also pose a threat of tornadoes. Make sure your notifications are set up on your smart device to alert you if a severe storm is heading toward your home tonight. The temperatures are rising. It won’t be much colder on Sunday, but the humidity will drop. We need to watch for the possibility of more fog developing through Monday morning before a cold front breaks through on New Year’s Eve, bringing in the colder air and ringing in the New Year.
