Weather in Houston: Tornadoes were reported in southeast Texas on Saturday

Multiple tornadoes were reported Saturday as severe weather moved across Southeast Texas.

Here’s a look at the reports from the National Weather Service.

Katie

10:40 a.m.: Tornado damage was reported at a mobile home park near Noel Lane. Cars were overturned.

10:55 a.m.: A tornado was spotted near Highway 290 and Spring Cypress Road.

Porter Heights

12:08 p.m.: Mobile homes were severely damaged or destroyed. The roof of a brick house was completely removed. The East Montgomery Fire Department was hit, its bay doors were ripped off and its metal roof came off.

Splendor

12:18 p.m.: A tornado was spotted in the area near FM 2090 and Splendora High School. There’s a lot of rubble.

Hillcrest

12:57 p.m.: Several homes were destroyed between Alvin and Liverpool near CR 191A. There is significant debris on portions of SH 35.

Bacliff

1:45 p.m.: A home near Bayshore Park suffered roof damage.

Anahuac

2:26 p.m.: A car was thrown by a tornado near Smith Point. Someone may have been injured.

Death caused by storm in Brazoria County

According to the Brazoria County Sheriff’s Office, one person died and four people were injured as a result of the storm.

Her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Manvel’s mayor said the death occurred along CR 191.
