The Los Angeles Chargers punched their ticket to the playoffs on Saturday with a 40-7 win over the New England Patriots in which he completed 68.4 percent of his passes for 281 yards and three touchdowns.

Their rivals, the Denver Broncos, could have earned their place in the league with a win against the Cincinnati Bengals, but failed to get the job done, losing 30-24 in overtime to the exceptional Joe Burrow and Co .

Luckily, the Broncos are still in control of their playoff chances.

A win over the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 18 and Sean Payton’s roster is set. Considering the Chiefs have the No. 1 seed and have nothing to play for, it’s likely that the Broncos will find a number of substitutes and role players all over the field from them in the final game of the season.

Nevertheless, Chiefs backup Carson Wentz is still an outstanding quarterback in the league and can beat the Broncos if Denver makes light of their division opponents.

The Bengals are still in the hunt but need significant help.

They have to beat Pittsburgh in Week 18, which is no easy task considering Russell Wilson and Co. will be playing for the AFC North Division. They need the Broncos to lose to Kansas City and Indianapolis and Miami to lose one of their final two games.

It’s no easy task, but the Bengals haven’t accomplished anything this season.

The Colts can get in if they win, Miami wins and Denver loses to KC.

The Dolphins have to win, the Broncos have to lose and Indianapolis has to lose at least one more game.

It’s all about the Broncos and their game against Kansas City, which could be the highest-stakes game of the week depending on what happens in the NFC West.
