ARIZONA – The Arizona Cardinals have every intention of getting Marvin Harrison Jr. into the game early and often in their Week 13 battle against the Minnesota Vikings.

“We’re going to get him going today. We’re going to get him going today. The passing game will go through him and he will impact the game,” Cardinals coach Jonathan Gannon said in an interview with NFL Network.

Harrison, the fourth overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, has experienced ups and downs early in his NFL career. Because Harrison is run-heavy on offense, he hasn’t seen targets compared to other receivers in his rookie class, and there were some quiet games from the Ohio State product early in the season.

However, Harrison scored four touchdowns in his last four games, although Arizona’s return from the bye week meant a disappointing loss to the Seattle Seahawks, where Harrison only had one reception for four yards.

Earlier in the season, Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray said he had full confidence in Harrison reaching his potential:

“When you’re one of those guys, your mentality and your expectations of yourself always stay the same. “It’s not something I can do, anything you all write about, that’s not going to affect the way he feels like he should play the game or wants to play,” Murray said.

“At the same time, I don’t think we’ve even scratched the surface of what we can be. I know it’s frustrating for the fans and it’s frustrating for us too because I want him to have 10 catches a game and 100 yards a game. “We all want that, but it takes time, it takes work and that is our goal. We strive to be great and I believe we will get there.”

We’ll see if Harrison can bounce back in Minnesota.
