Inner Excellence: Why AJ Brown read during the Eagles-Packer Wild Card game

Why was AJ Brown reading on the sidelines?

Brown insisted he always read on the sideline during games, and it had nothing to do with his lack of targets or with QB Jalen Hurts tripping him with a deep ball from midfield on 3rd-and-1 .

“That’s not it,” Brown said after the game. “You just caught me (on camera). I do it on every drive, whether I score a touchdown or drop a pass. This way I can refocus.”

He then added that the book gave him “a sense of peace.”

“This is a book that I bring to every single game,” Brown said. “My teammates call it a recipe… There are a lot of points in it. It’s a mental game, it has a lot of mental aspects and for me the game is mental. I am physically convinced that I can do anything and everything.” . But I have to make sure my mind is good, like I refresh every ride.
