What does Hoda Kotb do after the TODAY Show?

Although Hoda Kotb is hanging up her hat as co-anchor of TODAY and co-anchor of TODAY with Hoda & Jenna, NBC viewers will continue to see her familiar face on the network.

Hoda remains part of the NBC family, she confirmed to TODAY. She will contribute regular stories to TODAY, continue her podcast “Making Space with Hoda Kotb,” and will also be a part of TODAY throughout its Olympics coverage.

More about saying goodbye to Hoda Kotb

Hoda has been at NBC for nearly three decades and announced in September that she was leaving TODAY. Her final show on Jan. 10 included a farewell party dedicated to her with special guests including morning show host Gayle King, country musician Walker Hayes and Hoda’s former fourth-hour co-host Kathie Lee Gifford.

When Hoda reflected on her future after TODAY in October, she talked about reframing her next steps as a “repot,” a term she adopted from her friend Maria Shriver.

“I love the term ‘repotting.’ It’s like you’re being pulled up by your roots, your foundation, everything that grounds you, and your roots are hanging in the air and you’re afraid. ‘Where am I going to end up?'” she told Jenna Bush Hager on the Oct. 25 show.

Hoda used the term in her final message during her farewell ceremony. As the show came to a close, Hoda was seen driving away in a minivan with her daughters Haley and Hope, with a “Just Married” note on the back of the car: “Just repotted.”

Hoda has also said that her next chapter could include working in wellness. She told Jenna on the Oct. 25 show that she was inspired by her own journey to prioritize mind, body and soul.

“I tried different things and found my body was calmer,” she said. “I got sick less. I felt better. I was a better parent, a better friend, a better sister, a better daughter, and I thought, ‘All of these little things that I did day after day helped change me inside.'”

“I want to work in this field,” she added. “I want to start something. I have things that are percolating inside me that I hope to fully develop soon.”
