What Kash Patel said about the FBI

Candidate for FBI Director Kash Patel has been vocal in his criticism of the agency, accusing its leadership of bias and overreach, particularly in relation to investigations into President-elect Donald Trump.

He has embraced Trump’s rhetoric about a “deep state” involving the FBI and other institutions – a term often used to allege the existence of a covert network within the government that targets elected leaders and public interests works.

Patel, who served as a federal public defender and prosecutor before entering the Trump White House, has repeatedly promised to dismantle the “deep state” and punish Trump critics, as reported by Newsweek.

In his book Government Gangsters: The Deep State, the Truth and the Fight for Our DemocracyIn his book, part memoir, part exposé, Patel calls for a “comprehensive purge” of the Justice Department.

He also calls for eliminating “government tyranny” within the FBI by firing “the top echelons” and prosecuting “to the fullest extent of the law” anyone who “in any way abuses their authority for political purposes, like Ggood Tomorrow America.

Newsweek contacted the FBI via email Sunday seeking comment.

Patel has advocated for significant reforms within the FBI, including relocating its headquarters, and stated he would close the J. Edgar Hoover Building, which serves as the FBI’s headquarters in Washington, D.C

The former Trump adviser also said he would change the way the agency handles classified documents and change its structure to address what he said is entrenched partisanship.

In a video of an interview on the Shawn Ryan ShowPosting on the “Cut out component”.

Patel also called for decentralizing the FBI and turning its D.C. headquarters into a museum, saying he would “close the FBI Hoover Building on day one and reopen it as a deep state museum the next day.”

Patel also said he would send the “7,000 people who work in this building” across America to hunt down criminals. “Go be police officers. You are police officers, you are police officers. Go and hunt down murderers, rapists, drug dealers and violent criminals.”

“Why do you need 7,000 people there?” asked Patel. “What are all these people doing here? Looking for the next government promotion, looking for her next fancy government title, looking for her parachute out of government. So while you’re hiring the right people, you have to shrink the government at the same time,” he added.

The video has had over 367,000 views so far.

In another video interview posted on the site, Patel referred to alleged corruption by government officials, saying, “We need a 24-hour clearance office,” and said the system had been overly abused by “corrupt government officials” to cover it up Truth and carry out more corrupt activities.”

Addressing the issue of “Russiagate,” Patel said officials told him that his comments about Russia would result in people being “murdered,” with Patel responding that “no one died.”
