Here’s who’s in the playoffs for the NFC and AFC:

Detroit Lions (15-2), NFC North champions: It took all 18 weeks and most of four quarters on Sunday night, but they successfully defended their division throne and secured a No. 1 seed for the first time ever. A struggling team that was further battered by Minnesota can certainly use the extra rest , before continuing the search for her first Super Bowl appearance. Playoff schedule: BYE
Philadelphia Eagles (14-3), NFC East champions: They clinched the division title in Week 17 and secured the No. 2 seed in the NFC. They won a meaningless game when their reserves beat the Giants on Sunday, but were able to rest many prominent starters ahead of a wild-card showdown with Green Bay. Playoff schedule: vs. Packers
Tampa Bay Buccaneers (10-7), NFC South champions: They are division champions for the fourth consecutive year after again defeating a New Orleans team in the regular season finale. They climbed to third place by virtue of a two-game lead in NFC games (8-4) following the Rams’ loss. Playoff schedule: vs. commanders
Los Angeles Rams (10-7), NFC West champions: Like Philly, they finished their division in Week 17 and looked to get through Week 18 mostly unscathed before preparing for their playoff opener. But their loss to Seattle dropped LA to fourth place and it was a tough matchup against the salty Vikes. Playoff schedule: against Vikings
Minnesota Vikings (14-3), wild card No. 1: They couldn’t quite complete the quest for the No. 1 seed, meaning they now have to become road warriors whose reward could be a return to Ford Field if they finish first with the Rams. Playoff schedule: at Rams
Washington Commanders (12-5), wild card No. 2: A last-second win in Dallas made for a nice end to the regular season, Washington’s first with 12 wins since 1991. Green Bay’s earlier loss left them in sixth place. Playoff schedule: at Buccaneers
Green Bay Packers (11-6), wild card No. 3: After being overwhelmed by Detroit and (eventually) Minnesota, the Pack was relegated to wild card status before Week 17. Sunday’s loss secured them seventh place and a wild-card rematch in Philadelphia with the Eagles, who beat the Pack in Week 1 in South America. Playoff schedule: at Eagles

Kansas City Chiefs (15-2), AFC West champions: By beating Pittsburgh on Christmas, they secured home-court advantage and a first-round bye — and, in reality, more than two weeks off, with many starters resting in a meaningless (at least for KC) Week 18 contest in Denver. Playoff schedule: BYE
Buffalo Bills (13-4), AFC East champions: They secured the No. 2 seed in Week 17, meaning the road to Super Bowl 59 could go through Western New York if the Chiefs lose their playoff opener. Playoff schedule: against Broncos
Baltimore Ravens (12-5), AFC North champions: Catch fire? Probably an understatement as they powered their way through smoking Cleveland to the division crown and No. 3 seed on Saturday afternoon. Next? A trilogy rubber match with Pittsburgh. Playoff schedule: vs. Steelers
Houston Texans (10-7), AFC South champions: They dominate a weak division for the second straight year, but fourth place means a tough wild card match (albeit in Houston) against the Bolts. Playoff schedule: vs. chargers
Los Angeles Chargers (11-6), wild card No. 1: Pittsburgh’s loss moved them up to fifth place and secured the wild-card match against Houston with a win against Las Vegas on Sunday. Playoff schedule: at Texans
Pittsburgh Steelers (10-7), Wild Card No. 2: To close out the regular season, they lost four straight (by an average of 13 points), dropping them from the top of the AFC North and a No. 3 seed to sixth place and requiring a trip back to Baltimore. Playoff schedule: at Ravens
Denver Broncos (10-7), wild card No. 3: The third time was the charm as they finally secured the AFC’s final wild card spot, ending a nine-year postseason absence by outscoring the Chiefs’ backups 38-0. Next week’s operation in Western New York will be much more difficult. Denver lost 3-0 to the Chargers and Steelers this season, so the Broncos have never been able to finish better than the seventh seed on the weekend. Playoff schedule: at Bills

When is Super Bowl LIX?

Super Bowl LIX, the most anticipated game of the year, will take place at Caesars Superdome, home of the Saints, in New Orleans, Louisiana. on February 9, 2025, with a kickoff time of 6:30 p.m. ET.

The Superdome holds great value for the people of New Orleans.

In 2005, it served as a refuge for 30,000 evacuees affected by Hurricane Katrina. Although there were concerns about the stadium’s demolition, the reconstruction was carried out successfully. Over the years, the stadium has also hosted various events and concerts.

New Orleans shares the record with Miami for the most Super Bowls by a city. This is the 11th time the city has hosted the Super Bowl.

Who will perform at Super Bowl LIX?

Kendrick Lamar is the headliner at Super Bowl LIX. This will be Lamar’s second Super Bowl appearance. During the Super Bowl LVI halftime show, he shared the stage with Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, 50 Cent, Eminem, Mary J. Blige and Anderson .Paak. He is the first rap artist to solo headline a Super Bowl halftime show.

Lamar will likely perform songs from his latest album, “GNX,” along with a medley of his other hits.
